Hello,

Any genome/exome/transcriptome fasta file can be used as a reference database using the 'Custom Reference Genome' option with tools. Instructions for how to do this are here:

http://wiki.galaxyproject.org/Support#Custom_reference_genome

That said, we are considering including more plant genomes natively on the public Main Galaxy at http://usegalaxy.org in the future. Banana has already been requested and is part of the list.

Thanks! Jen, Galaxy team
