Hi,

I am new to Galaxy but have figured quite some things out already :)

My current issue is that I am apparently using 180GB of disk space despite of my actual usage being 28GB (my current dataset). I had created histories before, but deleted them all permanently, which, to my understanding, shouldn't count towards the quota anymore. I double-checked by looking at all of my histories, but all except of the current one (28GB) are permanently deleted.

The weirdest thing is that disk usage grew strongly (jumping from 11% to 71% usage) with the permanent deletion of the last history.

What's happening here and what can I do?

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

Hi,

Would you be able to log in again and double check the status of your account? Sometimes it takes a bit for the data to update when doing a batch of deletes. Also go into 'Shared Histories -> Advanced -> Status = all" to review all histories, to make certain that the perm delete took effect.

If after that you are still have problems, and are working on the public Main Galaxy instance at http://usegalaxy.org, please send your account email address to galaxy-bugs@bx.psu.edu and we can double check from here. You don't need to post it here, or send your password (ever, to anyone, no matter where you are working).

Thanks, Jen, Galaxy team
