Hi, I have a problem with my account regarding the disk space.

Despite deleting all the histories and data sets, but one of 93.9GB still shows 85% of use of space.

Did what is suggested in A: Disk Usage not Zero

Checking in saved histories, advance search -> status all.

But all my histories got 0 use, but the one that I am using with 93.9GB Could it be because  I did delete a big history yesterday and purge everything?

Could it have failed there? As a user, can we force calculation of the disk quota?

Thanks,

Enrique

Enrique,

You are not the only one with this problem!  I'm stuck at 50% myself and hoping the server will figure itself out.  However, I noticed this and slowly tested it.  It seems the only way to reliably delete data is to hit the big X and then under the gear icon to purge.  Simply going into history and hitting purge or delete won't do anything!  Using the gear and clicking delete history permanently will not clear data as well.  However, after using the last 2 methods, you will be unable to use the reliable purge methods.

A lesson learned too late for me, I hope someone else can learn from this.

Thanks Enza, but it is too late for me. Still stuck with the extra "ghost" space.

For what I saw on this forum in the last few hours, it seem to be a widespread problem.

Hope that this will be addressed soon by the developers.

I've recalculated your disk usage and you should be good to go now.  As mentioned in the other thread you referenced, I also fixed the underlying issue and once the change gets applied to usegalaxy.org (most likely after GCC, our yearly conference this week), we shouldn't see this happen anymore.  If you do get stuck again, simply reply and I can run the recalculation for your account again.
