Several posts mention that the "use percentage" does not always reflect the actual disk quota, even when datasets have been deleted and permanently deleted and the history has been refreshed. In my case, I am using 116 Gb and the percentage bar says 100%. In fact under User/Preferences it says I'm using 300 Gb (!) . All the other datasets have been permanently deleted. In one post an administrator said to wait an hour for it to refresh but it's been several hours. I am doing a project that puts me up against the limit with every step and I have to delete files immediately after I use them, so I need this process to refresh faster. Can anyone help? Thanks

I've checked your usage and it looks to be correct at 116GB; can you refresh the page and make sure that you're still observing problems running new jobs?

Thanks Dannon! We overlapped :) I recalculated and it dropped by around half (the expected amount).

Hello,

I recalculated disk usage on your account and all should be a match now between the different status areas (around 117 GB used).

Very sorry for this problem. For other readers, if this comes up, be sure to let us know (after checking for undeleted data) and we can fix this quickly for you, too. Either here at Galaxy Biostars or send a quick email from the address associated with your account at http://usegalaxy.org to galaxy-bugs@lists.galaxyproject.org.

Thank you for your patience. This is an uncommon yet persistent problem that our team is aware of but has not quite been able to fully resolve yet.

Best, Jen, Galaxy team
