Question: How to transfer files from Globus to usegalaxy.org (related to GridFTP)

Is it possible to transfer files directly from a Globus endpoint into the main Galaxy instance usegalaxy.org)?

I found this question from 2014 saying it was in the works, but I couldn't find any follow up.

GridFTP looks to still be a work-in-progress (https://github.com/galaxyproject/ansible-galaxy-extras/issues/86) but I've asked the developers for some feedback. You can follow along here at the IUC gitter channel: https://gitter.im/galaxy-iuc/iuc

Some feedback came already. Just match the timestamp of this post up with the comments. This may be the platform they used (https://galaxyproject.org/cloud/jetstream/) but waiting for confirmation (using a custom configuration). That'll also be in gitter most likely.

For now, use the current FTP protocols at https://usegalaxy.org. This isn't ready yet for the public server.
