Hello there. Hope someone can help me. I get bam file data (up to 3 Gb). The files are in a server and every who want to download must be put login and pass. I want to transfer to galaxy server to work with it, but the only options are upload directly (Cannot), FTP server and paste the link. So I have the link for every file but I don't know how or where put the login and pass from my server to transfer to galaxy server without problems.

That's it. Thanks for read.

Hello,

Place the data in a publically accessible directory (ftp, http). It can still be password protected.

Then, construct the URL to include the user pass. Note that if the user and password field in a URL contains certain non-alphanumeric characters these must be encoded in hexadecimal.

General online help (there are many many other links you can google if these are confusing or unclear):

Thanks, Jen, Galaxy team

Thanks. I have now the data on the server (http://drosophila.cmm.uchile.cl/igv/analysis/), the only access is with password, so now I want to upload to my galaxy session. Where I can put the password to upload from my server to galaxy server? Regards
