Question: clearing up memory on a local installation

Hello!
I am running a local galaxy instance, and suddenly all my processes started failing - I am assuming because of space issues. My galaxy tells me I am using 475 GB of data!
I have set allow_user_dataset_purge = True in my galaxy.ini and have run the scripts/cleanup_datasets scripts directly, but it still says I am using 475 GB of data.
My current history has ~90 GB and I have deleted/purged all old histories under show all histories advanced settings.
I have searched (and searched!) but can't find any other things to try!
Can someone help?
