Hello everyone,

I was trying to set the server to allow uploading files from path and something went south with the login. I reverse all the changes I made, but still can't login.

I enter user and pass and if it's wrong I get an error, otherwise it seems it's working (loging) but no actual user is active. It looks like the window refreshes on it's own. So when I try to log as admin. I can't get the admin interface.

Does anyone have a clue?

Thanks a lot in adavance.

Nicolas.

I have the exact same problem. I tried to delete and make new instance from scratch but i still can't login.

Do you still have this issue?

The login information is stored in the database. If you make new instance from scratch but preserve the database the login will stay the same. Other than that I don't know what issue with login you might have. Please make sure you understand how to become an admin: https://wiki.galaxyproject.org/Admin/Interface

In my case, the issue is not about being admin, but more about staying logged in. I completely describe my problem here : C: Login issue with local Galaxy instance and mysql database

For allowing upload from path you don't need to modify Galaxy you just need to turn the feature on in the configuration:

allow_library_path_paste = True

About your described problem with login, I have no clue what is hapenning. Do you have the option to start with fresh Galaxy or do you need to preserve the instance?
