I am running out of space in my galaxy account and have tried to delete a lot of the files. Even after purging the deleted files I am not seeing a reduction in the percentage of space that I am allegedly using.

I have tried to carry on and run a few other jobs but have not received results back. I believe this might be because my account space is getting low. Please advise if there is a problem with galaxy that is preventing the removal of data or how I cna get around the issue.

I've confirmed your disk usage is correct -- please look through the documentation about 'permanently deleting' datasets and histories here: https://wiki.galaxyproject.org/Learn/ManagingDatasets

Let me know if you have any more questions, but once you go through and permanently delete things, you'll have more space.

Dear Dannon,

I was aware of the need to permanently delete files which I have done to try to increase space. However, even after performing the permanently delete action on lots of files, I did not obtain any more space. The files now say, "this dataset has now been deleted and removed from disk", therefore I would expect the space available to increase.
