I am trying to free up disc space by deleting files.

I asked several times and each time was told to check my saved histories and delete old files. I checked my saved histories and confirmed that everything is permanently deleted (they all have 0 bytes disc space) except for my current history, which only contains four datasets.  It says I am using disc space of 246Gb but all I have in those four data sets  are  ~50Gb….?

If you look at the top of the large history, you'll see something like "X shown, Y deleted, Z hidden".  If you have deleted datasets that have not been purged yet, they're still taking up space.

You can force this by manually purging specific datasets or by using one of the options in the history 'cog' menu like 'Purge Deleted Datasets'.
