Hi I have a problem on Galaxy main where my disk quota bar says I'm using ~190GB (75%) when the sum of all my saved histories in the "saved histories" tab only amounts to about 18GB. I've made sure that all previous datasets have been purged, but nothing seems to reduce my quota. It's been like this for +24h.

Thanks

Hello,

Try logging out then log in again. This will reset the user quota.

If it is still larger than expected, check for data that has not been permanently deleted (purged). This is how: https://wiki.galaxyproject.org/Learn/ManagingDatasets#Delete_vs_Delete_Permanently

Thanks, Jen, Galaxy team

Hi

Thanks for the timely response.

I've tried those solutions to no avail. One of my colleagues is also having this problem, but it only seems to be happening when we delete dataset collections containing multiple FASTQ files. Deleting other individual files doesn`t seem to be a problem.

Thanks.

Hello - this functionality is new, so I will run a few tests and open a ticket if I can reproduce.

Meanwhile, we can recalculate for you using other (admin) methods. I am unable to tell which account is yours at http://usegalaxy.org. Would you send an email to galaxy-bugs@lists.galaxyproject.org from the same address as used for your account and include a link to this post?

We have your email. Feedback soon. Jen

Both accounts have had the usage recalculated - so please take a look now.

I am unable to reproduce this behavior and have double checked with the developer (Dannon) on our team that added the admin function for doing this (which I just used) to the items done when a user first logs in. It is the same exact function.

It makes me wonder if you were fully logged out of all Galaxy windows. But we'll also watch for more feedback about this from others.

Thanks, the storage for both accounts is back to normal. I'll let you guys know if anything else comes up.

Hi,

Happened again. I`ve sent an email to galaxy-bugs@lists.galaxyproject.org with the details.

I think it might be the same bug that was brought up in https://biostar.usegalaxy.org/p/21443/

I am having a similar problem and I have also been working with multiple Fastq files. I have just sent an email to galaxy-bugs@lists.galaxyproject.org. Thanks. tendai
