I am trying to run miRDeep2, but when I try to put the program on a local instance of Galaxy I get

"Internal server error
Galaxy was unable to successfully complete your request
an error occurred
This may be an intermittent problem due to load or other unpredictable factors, reloading the page may address the problem"

I have run the procedure several times over three days, in two different browsers, and cant get past this. Any thoughts about what to do would be appreciated.

Are you the admin of the instance you're using? This is normally something that can only be debugged by looking at the server logs to see what the exact underlying error getting thrown is (in my case, this is usually in uwsgi.log).

Hi Yes, I am the administrator. I have made a new account, with a new email, and assigned myself administrator for that one as well. In this new account I was still unable to install miRDeep2, but was able to install miRDeep2_and_targetspy.dh. This seems to have the miRDeep2 as part of the package. However, while I think I have installed miRDeep2, it does not run. I get the following error

cp: /var/folders/ns/wlw5mjg53cx5cx_3ym9szxjw0000gp/T/SLlEsxfdiL/pdfs/.pdf: No such file or directory ls: /var/folders/ns/wlw5mjg53cx5cx_3ym9szxjw0000gp/T/SLlEsxfdiL/result*.csv: No such file or directory Error: Cannot find csv result file in dir /var/f

Is it better to debug on my old account or try to press on with the current version? David

It doesn't matter what account you use, the errors will always be the same. Perhaps whoever wrote the Galaxy wrapper for mirDeep2 can help you.
