Hi,
I just purged all my files because it was estimated I was using 93% of my allotted disk space. However, it still says that I am using 93%. How can I fix this?
Thanks, Amy C

Hi Amy,
I have checked your account and your usage is at 246.0 GB.
Please check whether you have other histories (e.g. at https://usegalaxy.org/history/view_multiple ). Also note that you have to delete the datasets before being able to purge them.
Martin,
I had deleted, deleted permanently, and purged the deleted files before I posted. I have checked and I cannot even see the files that I deleted anymore. Nor is there any other histories. It now says that I am using 100% of the 250 GB.
I used the the link in your message and it show one history with 16.69 GB of files and it is still indicating that I am using 100% of the 250GB storage.
Does it take time for the files to be deleted from the server? It has been about 4 hours since I deleted files.
Thank you again, Amy
Hi Amy,
Sorry for the confusion here. The usage you're seeing is due to a deleted (but not permanently deleted) history in your account which is using about 235GB of space. On that history multiview page, you can click the little [...] menu and check 'Include deleted histories', and you'll see what I mean.
This link should also take you straight there: https://usegalaxy.org/history/view_multiple?include_deleted_histories=True
What you'll want to do is "Purge" that deleted history to recover the space, which should happen pretty much immediately. Let me know if you have any trouble!
