Hi!

 How do I log in via the FTP server? I have a file that is 3 GB big (Metagenomics) and I want to upload it to the Galaxy server.

You can use any ftp client (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comparison_of_FTP_client_software) and conect to ftp://usegalaxy.org using your Galaxy credentials.
