Question: Fastq upload times

Hey there I am trying to upload a fastq fiel since last night is less than 1Gb and still in queu, is the first time I am using Galaxy . Does it usually takes that long?

Is it in the queue in the uploading state or in waiting state? If it is uploading it might be your low internet speed, if it is waiting please try to upload it again. What is your internet connection speed?

Hopefully your job has now completed.

As Martin states - actively uploading for a long period of time indicates a connection issue. You can try to use FTP even with smaller files, as this sometimes is quicker all around. Instructions are here: https://wiki.galaxyproject.org/FTPUpload

If the job is/was just queued (grey "waiting to run"), then the solution is to wait until it runs. Our server is very busy at this time. Be sure to not stop and restart jobs, this will extend wait time.
