I'm sorry for such a naive question, but I'd like to simply shutdown my Galaxy server on AWS. I'm getting charged about 10 cents an hour while its running, and I'm not using it regularly right now.

I believe all I need to do is shutdown the server (Galaxy) and I will not be charged by Amazon. I believe I should be able to start and stop the server when needed, and not be charged when its not running (presuming I'm in the free AWS period). This seems very basic, but I cannot find any easy way to do this from the Galaxy literature. My only obvious option is to cancel the service from AWS.

Hi, I had the same problem yesterday... What I've done and seems to work for me is to go on the CloudMan console then click on ShutDown.  Correct me if I'm wrong but you might have some S3 storage still going on too..?
That solved my problem.
