Hello,
Galaxy comes with some basic tools installed. You'll need to install others and the reference data each uses. There are is also some administrative configuration needed for most uses, especially if working with more complex tools.
- Galaxy Ecosystem: https://galaxyproject.github.io/
- Galaxy Admin Docs: https://docs.galaxyproject.org/en/master/index.html
- Galaxy Admin Training: https://galaxyproject.github.io/dagobah-training/
If you are taking a class, contact the instructor for advice. Workshops usually are set up with a Docker or Cloudman Galaxy that is already pre-configured and sometimes a public Galaxy server can be used. Example, if working on your own through Galaxy Training Network tutorials http://galaxyproject.github.io/training-material/ -- some Topics will have a dedicated Docker Galaxy and some will be noted as working at specific public Galaxy sites.
Thanks! Jen, Galaxy team
