There is no icon for NGS Analysis in my Galaxy tool list. I can not find Velvet or Spades for genome assembly. In addition, for get data and upload, paste/fetch data does not allow me to paste my files. (Paste icon is not active). I can not get the files for microbial genomics workshop either directly or alternatively through import from history. Those files are no longer available in

Hello,

Galaxy comes with some basic tools installed. You'll need to install others and the reference data each uses. There are is also some administrative configuration needed for most uses, especially if working with more complex tools.

If you are taking a class, contact the instructor for advice. Workshops usually are set up with a Docker or Cloudman Galaxy that is already pre-configured and sometimes a public Galaxy server can be used. Example, if working on your own through Galaxy Training Network tutorials http://galaxyproject.github.io/training-material/ -- some Topics will have a dedicated Docker Galaxy and some will be noted as working at specific public Galaxy sites.

Thanks! Jen, Galaxy team
