When attempting Trinity assemblies with Trimmomatic paired end files, the run fails and I receive an error message:

I can find the following information with that error, but it's not explaining what is going wrong.

Tool error.
An error occurred with this data set. Remote job server indicated a problem running or monitoring this job. code 1: slurm_submit_batch_job: Resource temporarily unavailable

Could you explain and help me progress?

Thank you, Carol

Update 6-29-18 4pm PDT

A different problem has been identified with the specific cluster that executes both Trinity and Unicycler. Jobs will fail immediately when working at Galaxy Main https://usegalaxy.org right now.

We will be fixing this, please follow the issue ticket for updates: https://github.com/galaxyproject/usegalaxy-playbook/issues/147

Thanks to everyone who has reported the problem! Jen, Galaxy team

Fixed: The issue was resolved about 9 days ago and the above issue closed. Please rerun any previously failed jobs if you have not already.

Hello,

For a very short time window earlier today there was a cluster issue at Galaxy Main https://usegalaxy.org that produced variations of this error for certain jobs.

The issue is now resolved at Main. Please rerun any jobs that failed with this error.

Should this specific error come up again, or one like this, with no additional details:

Remote job server indicated a problem running or monitoring this job.

At any time, now or later, that generally indicates a problem with the inputs and/or settings. Please see our Troubleshooting FAQs (below) for how to fix the problem. Prior Q&A can also be searched here https://galaxyproject.org/search/ to find examples within an experimental context that describe how the problem was resolved (solutions can vary).

If still stuck after reviewing available help, a bug report can be sent in for feedback. Odd results/errors do sometimes point to a server issue (as in this case). I am also going to run a quick Trinity test job just to ensure more is not going on for that specific tool. I'll write back if problematic in some way.

Note: If you are working at a different Galaxy instance, the administrators of that server should be contacted. The latter portion of your specific error message indicates a server-side issue.

Thanks for posting about the problem & hope your reruns go well! Jen, Galaxy team

Hi Jennifer,

I've been getting this same error while attempting to use Unicycler (V0.4.1.1). Is it a related issue?

Thanks! Wayne
