i was using Galaxy for RNA seq analysis. i once logged out using my laptop. and when i logged in again. i can't see any histories on the right side. all the dataset/histories are gone. however the space usage (74%) are still there. the question is how can i get access to my data and recover the history.

Try User/Saved histories and look for it. Make sure you check the deleted histories also (under 'advanced search').

Hello, At the public Main Galaxy server https://usegalaxy.org, you are using 136.2 GB of quota space with the registered account that uses your name here (ytao28) in the email address. All of this is associated with the single active history in your account. There are also two permanently deleted histories (these do not count toward quota) and one deleted history (that is empty, so also does not count toward quota).

Maybe you were working at a different Galaxy server or have more than one account? Check the URL at the top of your browser window. It is easy to get mixed up between servers as the primary GUI view can often appear to be very similar. Also, check which email you are logging in with. It could be that more than one account was accidentally created/used and you are logging into one with no content.

Should you still not be able to find your account/history, you can send an email to galaxy-bugs@lists.galaxyproject.org from the same email address as you are logging in with. Please include a link to this post and we can double check the associated account(s) privately. It is better not to post email addresses on public forums and email you are sending will come to our private admin team list where we can troubleshoot the details.

Very sorry you are still having problems. Everyone should be only using one account and we can work together to get your access issue resolved and the correct account identified/retained. Thanks! Jen
