Question: How to open HG38 and edit the header?

HI, I am trying to change the header of HG38 but every time I try to open it with note pad and even note pad +++, it fails due to the large size of the genome. Does anyone know how to open the genome on Galaxy so that I can change the header? If not possible to do it in Galaxy, anyone know of another tool that will open it for me and allow me to make changes?

Hello,

There are several tools in the group Text Manipulation (within Galaxy) that can edit data. Many are analogs of line-command functions (which are other options, if done outside of Galaxy, and you know how to use them). A GUI text editor like notepad is not going to work well with large datasets.

If you cannot decide on a tool or need help with usage, share just header lines you wish to change (before and after) and we can try to help more.
