FTP transfer problems

Question: FTP transfer problems

Hello, I am trying to upload some files through FTP, I am having this error that I do not know how to fix, would anyone help me with it?

Error:          Failed to retrieve directory listing

Error:          Connection timed out after 20 seconds of inactivity

This is the problem I get once I put some files to transfer

Solutions often include:

Updating the FTP client settings to match those in the FTP FAQ. Use passive mode as the starting place. The connection will still be secure after the certificate is accepted.
Using a different FTP client. Filezilla is a common choice.
Checking in with local admins or ISP providers to clear up potential firewall issues.
