Excuse me? The problem confusing me is that all the workflow and software in my Galaxy account have been in the status of waiting for running since yesterday without any change. But when I loginned out and use the software as an inominate visitor, all the software run and returned results well. Is there something wrong with my account? Any answer will be appreciated. Thank you.
Providing more useful feedback about queue position and estimate time to wait is on our development radar. We are also expecting to add more computing horsepower to usegalaxy.org soon.
That said, I would encourage you to not delete jobs that are queued unless you are trying to increase the priority of any other waiting jobs. The reason for this is that when you delete and resubmit jobs, you have taken yourself out of the queue and then placed yourself in the queue again, but at the end.
Some tools have dedicated queues which can sometimes lead to long waiting times when Galaxy is very busy. The test suggested by Martin in response to My galaxy account has suddenly stopped processing. I can upload data, but a single command has been in queue / waiting to run for 48 hours now. is worth trying while logged in.
Thank you. Before my account stopped working, I left some workflow tasks to the account to run overnight. And I found only some tasks had been finished next morning. So I deleted the remaining ones and then started my new program-to decrease the number of unfinished tasks queued before my new task. Then, I found what I said above. I think it is because of the over load to my account, just as you said. Its status is still waiting for running, but I hope it will be recover soon. Thank you for your reply.
I think it might not just be you - all mapping jobs on the main Galaxy server might be stuck or under very heavy load - my test job is staying grey. The convert spaces to tabs tool ran fine so it's probably the mapper queues overloaded - sorry....
