Hi there, i just reported an error (through usegalaxy) but I got additional information I would like to share. My jobs are paused and I cannot get them unpaused. The reason is then given as follows: "The previously selected dataset has entered an unusable state". when having a closer look, this previously selected dataset is now listed twice in the history (with the same number), but once indicated in red and once in green. This happened on usegalaxy.org. I then used http://deeptools.ie-freiburg.mpg.de/ and there is exactly the same problem.

can you please advise?

many thanks Kathrin

Hello,

The prior job errored. There are two datasets for it because it outputs a hidden dataset (not normally reviewed, unless there was an error). Start by checking the prior job for input problems and usage errors.

Help for troubleshooting errors is here: https://galaxyproject.org/support/

I'll also take a look at your bug report and write back about what seems to be the problem. There could be a tool bug, although input/usage errors are much more common, especially given that the tool is failing at two stable public Galaxy sites and the tools in common have been heavily vetted.

Thanks! Jen, Galaxy team
