Hello, I am trying to upload a file using the file sharing, FireZilla, however when I go to connect I get error messages. I have read through thte forums as well as viewed the how to video galaxy has on vimeo and nothing appears to work. Here are the prompts I get when trying to connect: Status: Resolving address of usegalaxy.org Status: Connecting to 129.114.60.180:21... Status: Connection established, waiting for welcome message... Error: Connection timed out after 20 seconds of inactivity Error: Could not connect to server Status: Waiting to retry...

I then tried to connect via entering the IP address and this is the prompt i get with that: Status: Waiting to retry... Status: Connecting to usegalaxy.org:2200... Response: fzSftp started, protocol_version=4 Command: open "tiara.y.smith@gmail.com@usegalaxy.org" 2200 Error: Connection timed out after 20 seconds of inactivity Error: Could not connect to server.

Please help with this matter I am not sure what else to do and do not see information on other options besides the two I have tried.

FTP is up and functioning normally. The correct server to use is "usegalaxy.org" (not the other one).

Perhaps check with your internet provider or network administrator to see if there is a block of some type? You might also try connecting from another network to check.

Hello Jennifer, I have tried all of the above and there is still no success for connection. Is there another file sharing application that I can use? I have looked at the galaxy forum, and it appears I am not alone in having this problem. Please help

The FTP server on our side seems working fine but FTP can sometimes be tricky depending on where are you connecting from (network-wise) - try different location.

Hello, I am still trying to connect to galaxy via FlieZilla for the file share application. I have tried several resources to try to figure out the issue. I have contacted both IT from filezilla as well as my university. The IT department actually remote accessed my desktop computer in the lab to ensure that there were not firewalls and/or network issues preventing me from connecting. Is there possibly a configuration error or galaxy behalf that is keeping me from connecting? I have made various attempts with no luck. please help.
