Question: login required, but still view static/welcome.html

Just figuring out the Galaxy config. We want folks to see static/welcome.html when they first come to our instance, but must login to use any tools. We set "require_login = True", but this means the site first shows "This Galaxy instance has been configured such that only users who are logged in may use it." instead of static/welcome.html.  Suggestions?

This functionality does not exist. I was informed that the change may be non-trivial to implement, yet the utility is obvious. Please open an enhancement request (use "Issues" at this Github repository: https://github.com/galaxyproject/galaxy

We do accept community contributions to the core codebase in the form of pull-requests if this is something your team would like to work on.

Will do, Jen! For now, we created added a welcome.mako file and changed the controller for the login page to call it. I will submit an enhancement request to Github nonetheless.
