Hi all, have another quesion about local copy; I'm wondering if there is a way I can store my database in a different lcoation other than galaxy-dist/database.  The reason why I ask is because I'm working of a remote computer cluster which only allows a very a few Gigs of storage for the program but would need to store the bulk of my data somewhere else /farm/storage/user.  I'm new to linux but would this work also with some sort of symlink?  thanks in advance!

If you are talking about actual DB: No matter if using PostgreSQL or sqlite you specify the DB location in the universe.wsgi.ini file.

If you are talking about the folder /database where datasets are stored you can e.g. make a symlink out of the folder and put it anywhere you want.

To add to this, you can also configure galaxy's object store to use a custom path.  See object_store_conf.xml's various sample files (https://bitbucket.org/galaxy/galaxy-central/src/2be89285509068e862d27d41c3ba02c5a59e5b00/object_store_conf.xml.sample?at=default) for more information.
