Question: Store uploaded Data on different Partition

Question: Since the partition galaxy is installed on has a very limited storage capacity, I would like to upload my data on another partition plus setting this as the default path for any future data upload. At the same time Galaxy needs to be configured to look for data files in this path. How can I achieve this?

Other posts I found which faced similar problems are pretty old and links posted in respective answers are not working anymore. Is there an up-to-date solution?
