Question: Local Galaxy deployment examples

Hi Biostars community,

My idea is to setup local Galaxy for our lab (2-5 users). We do have quite powerful server on which I can deploy several virtual machines. I was thinking of using couple Linux-vm to deploy Galaxy-production but not sure that this is really required in our case, and if this would give us better performance than just single Galaxy instance. Also, does anybody has example of their local Galaxy setup? If I do deploy Galaxy for "production", how exactly should I make connection between Galaxy gateway and sql server? Moreover how do I setup connection between local Galaxy and our institutional cluster?

It is difficult to give specific advise on how to set up a local installation (for production), as it depends on so many local actors. A good starting point is this doc:
