Question: Is it possible to transfer and deploy local custom Galaxy software instances between desktop computers and various cloud hosts?

If you need to ask this question you will certainly have difficulties performing the transfer. I recommend asking someone with sysadmin experience to do it for you or starting with a Galaxy on the cloud from a scratch (preferably using CloudMan - https://wiki.galaxyproject.org/CloudMan )
