Question: Is the galaxy ftp server accessible in China?

I'm currently in China and it seems that I cannot access the ftp server. I do not know what the problem is. Is it inaccessible in China?

Yes, as far as we know, a connection is possible.

There was one VM (of several) on our cluster that had FTP problems for a short time. You might have hit that VM by chance. Please try again now.

If problems continue after that, there could be a firewall on your side and you would probably need to contact a local admin to help get around it.
