I've got a galaxy instance running behind an nginx reverse proxy. DNS set up and the instance is available at galaxy.example.com.

When retrieving data from UCSC (http://galaxy.example.com/tool_runner/data_source_redirect?tool_id=ucsc_table_direct1), galaxy sends me to

https://genome.ucsc.edu/cgi-bin/hgTables?GALAXY_URL=http%3A//localhost%3A8080/tool_runner&tool_id=ucsc_table_direct1,

Where the GALAXY_URL is set as http://localhost:8080/tool_runner instead of http://galaxy.example.com/tool_runner.

How do I set the Galaxy's baseurl?

Thanks!

Hello,

Please see the advanced configuration section here (assuming you did the basic config already): https://galaxyproject.org/admin/config/nginx-proxy/

For examples, see the training sections for setting up your own server here: https://github.com/galaxyproject/dagobah-training

Thanks, Jen, Galaxy team
