Just a potentially stupid question: Is it possible to extract a (or all) data set(s) from a collection?

Thanks, Matthias

Hello,

Please see the tools in the tool group Collection Operations at https://usegalaxy.org for the currently available operations to unzip and manipulate existing collections.

More discussion about collection manipulation/dataset extraction is here (future goals): https://github.com/galaxyproject/galaxy/issues/740

Reference tutorial for creating/using collections (does not include the new manipulation operations - yet!): https://galaxyproject.org/tutorials/collections/#using-collections

Thanks! Jen, Galaxy team

Thanks for the answer. These tools seem not to do what I want to do. All of them have collection as in and output. I would like to input a collection and get the separate data sets back, essentially the inverse operation of building a collection. I.e. building the collection is: dataset1, dataset2,... -> collection

I want to have the other direction.
