I am running RNA STAR to align RNA seq reads to the X. laevis transcriptome, which I uploaded from NCBI, but this is a very large genome of about 3.3x10^9. The current genome size limit for RNA STAR is for the human genome. Is there any workaround for this issue?

Hello,

The genome is too large to run with this tool at http://usegalaxy.org. Alternatives ways to use Galaxy are explained here: https://galaxyproject.org/choices/

We will be adding native indexes for this tool in the near future.

Thanks! Jen, Galaxy team
