Hello Galaxy,

I am a loyal Galaxy fan that use galaxy for a lot of parsing with intersect, concatenate, merge and other operations on genomic intervals last year. In the last couple days, when I perform simple runs like uploading a file, converting interval to bed, sorting a bed, merging a bed, intersecting, subtracting, you name it, the run will stall on the gray timer appearance on the history. I would refresh and leave the run alone for several hours, only to come back and see it still never finished.

I would repeat the run and sometimes it would run after the 2nd or 3rd of 4th try. Why are runs taking so long and why do I have to repeat runs all the time? It seems that every other run I perform encounters issues and require me to submit the same run again.

Please let me know how this can be fixed. Thank you!

Hello,

The Main public Galaxy instance at http://usegalaxy.org is undergoing changes at this time. This includes a new cluster configuration. There is a banner at the main site explaining the situation.

Jobs have been problematic recently. We are working to correct this as quickly as possible. The issues appear across accounts, are sporadic, and are server related.

If work is urgent, considering a local or cloud Galaxy is another choice during this upgrade phase at Galaxy Main.

We appreciate the feedback, Jen, Galaxy team
