Hello,

I am unable to reproduce this with a general test history. Would you please send in a shared link for the history containing this BAM dataset? Also include the dataset number and a link to this Biostars post in the comments. Email to galaxy-bugs@lists.galaxyproject.org.

How to share: https://wiki.galaxyproject.org/Learn/Share

Thanks, Jen, Galaxy team

It was due to a rare cluster issue that still may occur. There are two things to try:

  • First attempt to reset the metadata on the dataset. Do this by clicking on the pencil icon for the dataset to reach the Edit Attributes form. On the first tab is a button named "Auto-detect". Click this and allow the dataset to resolve, then try to use it.

  • If this fails, then either reload the BAM dataset (if uploaded) or re-run the job that created it.

Thanks, Jen, Galaxy team
