Question: galaxy generated bigwig files won't load from GEO

I generated bigwig files on Galaxy which display nicely on the USCS browser via the direct link from Galaxy.
However, when I subsequently downloaded these files onto my computer and submitted them to GEO, the http link created from them is no longer recognised by UCSC.
It says unrecognised binary format, and when I specify the format via track_type=bigwig, it is telling me: Unrecognized format line 1 of file: track_type=bigwig (note: chrom names are case sensitive, e.g.: correct: 'chr1', incorrect: 'Chr1', incorrect: '1')
What should I do? This is probably a rather stupid question...but I am only a biologist, so I have an excuse...
