Question: Filter by Evalue

Hi I am using use.galaxy for analysing my blast data. I wanted to select contigs with evalue less than a a certain number (E-55). I am wondering which tool on galaxy would assist me with this functionality, what are the other requremnts of this tool.I can select contigs with value equal to a particular evalue but not less than that value. Could any body please help me with this.

The Filter tool will likely perform the desired operation. Instructions about how to use it, including expected formats and syntax (both are very important to have correct), are on the tool form itself in the help section. Try this now if you have not already.

The second part about being able to select lines equal to a particular evalue and not those less than it is a bit confusing, since it suggests you may already be using some tool within Galaxy for the data reduction. You can share details here (this can get confusing, since so many factors could be contributing to the problem), or better - share a history containing the dataset you are trying to filter along with the jobs you have run so far that did not produce the desired result. Make sure all datsets are undeleted, input and output datasets are included, and include a link to this Galaxy Biostars post so that we can link the two together. Send to galaxy-bugs@lists.galaxyproject.org.

If you are not working at Galaxy Main (http://usegalaxy.org), then see if you can reproduce the problem there, then share that history as above.
