Hi

I am using galaxy for my RNA seq analysis. I have made a metatransciptome and used this for downstream data analyses. Now my next step for my project is to make a pseudomolecule from the assembly. On searching up the literature I have seen the blastn to scaffold tool in assembly section. How is it possible to download this tool from toolshed for my analyses? I am using use.galaxy.

Regards

Deepti

Hello,

This tool from the Tool Shed (and any others that you do not see already installed at http://usegalaxy.org) are for use in a local or cloud Galaxy.

Instructions for setting up a local: http://getgalaxy.org

An alternate for a local was recently tweeted here and is worth considering. Much is pre-configured! https://twitter.com/galaxyproject/status/686633188454723584

All fully supported options can be found here: https://wiki.galaxyproject.org/BigPicture/Choices

Take care, Jen, Galaxy team

Hi Jen

Thankyou for the reply. I also want to know is it possible to create (local galaxy) get.galaxy account even if I have the use.galaxy account?

Thankyou

Deepti

Each server is distinct. If you set up your own local using the instructions at http://getgalaxy.org (or the other shared method), this makes you the administer of the instance. An account on your local is distinct from your account at http://usegalaxy.org (or any other galaxy server).

Hi Jen, Thanks for this information. I already have a local Galaxy account. How do you use tools in the toolshed? Thanks, Bonnie

Hello,

In short, become an admin, install tools, configure local data, and then use.

Thanks!
