Hi

I am trying to install galaxy locally and I am getting an import error:

ImportError: dlopen(/Users/gorillas/galaxy/.venv/lib/python2.7/site-packages/numpy/core/multiarray.so, 2): Symbol not found: __tlv_bootstrap
  Referenced from: /Users/gorillas/galaxy/.venv/lib/python2.7/site-packages/numpy/core/multiarray.so
  Expected in: flat namespace
 in /Users/gorillas/galaxy/.venv/lib/python2.7/site-packages/numpy/core/multiarray.so

I am very inexperienced at this am looking for some pointers to sort this out.

Thanks a million in advance

Hello,

This error was observed by other users when installing alternate Galaxy sources onto an older MAC OS version. Please consider upgrading if this is your situation. Depending on where you are sourcing, a new issue could be opened if problems continue that appear to not be OS related.

Or, you can obtain the master Galaxy branch directly from the https://github.com/galaxyproject repository:

http://getgalaxy.org

Alternate Galaxy installation types and configuration/development/ packages do exist and can be reviewed under:

https://github.com/galaxyproject

Thanks, Jen, Galaxy team
