After installing the local version of galaxy I tried to follow the tutorial on how to create workflows.

Unfortunately I don't have the action 'extract workflow' for the available actions.

Is there any particular configuration required to have this option available?

I could resolve it by deleting the local repository and then  creating a fresh clone and pulling in the latest changes from the master branch.

Hi Roger

Make sure, you "register" and then log-in. This should make the "Extract Workflow" option available

Thank you for your answer, I already tried this, even with multiple users still my menu only contains:

  • Resume Paused Jobs
  • Unhide Hidden Datasets
  • Delete Hidden Datasets
  • Purge Deleted Datasets
  • SHow Structure
  • Export to File
  • Delete Permanently

Nothing else...

just double checking: on your tools panel, dou you have "Workflows / All workflows" at the bottom?

Yes I have "All workflows" at the bottom of the left panel.

Have you tried a different browser?

Yes it was still the same, I removed the installation and pulled the again from git, afterward it was there.

Uncertain what the problem was, but now it is working!
