I'm trying to use Cloudman to install Galaxy on Amazon EC2. I need to have a key pair associated with the AMI so that I can SSH in to it. If I use the Cloudman defaults I am not prompted to download the private key. If I use an existing key then the install fails. I don't get an error message; the progress bar just turns red shortly in to the install and the install stops. This seems to be a new problem as I've been able to get the private key successfully in the past.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Hello,

Are you using launch.usegalaxy.org or usegalaxy.org/cloudlaunch ? These are different now, until the official launch of the first. So, for now, use the second directly from http://usegalaxy.org.

The easy way to fix this if you do have or know of a valid key is to delete the keypair out of the AWS console. Then the next launch should show and download a new key.

Solution kindly provided by Dannon Baker (Galaxy Cloudman developer).

Thank you for the response. To install Galaxy on AWS I was going to http://cloudman.irb.hr/ and then clicking on the "Create a Cluster" link which took me to https://biocloudcentral.herokuapp.com/launch. I filled out that form and then clicked the "Create a Cluster" button.

I will try again with the link you suggested.
