Dear All

I am trying to compare two FASTA files using an installed version of BLAST from the toolshed on  a local Galaxy version. When I compare them directly using NCBI BLAST + blastp attempt to produce a BLAST database using makeblastdb I receive the following error

Fatal error: Exit code 127 () /Users/mal37/galaxy-dist/database/job_working_directory/000/634/galaxy_634.sh: line 18: blastp: command not found

Just wondered if anybody could help.

Many thanks

Mark

Hello,

There appears to be a path problem in your configuration. Make sure that the "galaxy" user has the tool in the environment tool path it is using. Then try to location/execute the tool line-command on a small sample of data. Or, simply see if it is available by checking for the version, e.g.:

<prompt>$  blastp -version

Hopefully this helps, Jen, Galaxy team
