Question: History not getting deleted

Hi

I am trying to permanently delete some of my datasets and also some histories, but they are not getting deleted. Data usage still shows 99%. I went to saved history> Advance> deleted and tried to permanently delete them. No change. Please help.

1) Did you try different browsers. I have some trouble in chrome and not in firefox.

2) could be you need to uncomment #allow_user_dataset_purge = True in galaxy.ini (not likely)

3) there are purge scripts in $galaxy_root that allow for permanent deletion on the spot. But As far as I know galaxy does will do what is called a "soft delete"

how are you hosting? does it work if accessing the port directly? what do the logs show when you click the button?
