Hi There,

I am able to successfully upload files through FTP (FileZilla) using usegalaxy.org. However, I am not able to see them in http://huttenhower.sph.harvard.edu/galaxy/ - Get Data option under the FTP directory.

I am using the same login credentials and passwords for both pages. Any help would be greatly appreciated, Thank you Saumya

Hello,

Files must be directly FTP'd to the target server. For this case, enter the server name as: huttenhower.sph.harvard.edu

This site does support FTP. Read the rest of the documentation at their website for more details, including contact information.

Take care, Jen, Galaxy team

I am having a hard time uploading any file for hutlab. So I tried FileZilla with host name of huttenhower.sph.harvard.edu However, I am getting error.

Error: Connection timed out after 20 seconds of inactivity Error: Could not connect to server Status: Waiting to retry... Any help would be much appreciated!!

You'll need to contact the admins of that server about the problem. We can only help with server problems for http://usegalaxy.org. I cannot even get the web server to respond right now (http://huttenhower.sph.harvard.edu/galaxy/), so the immediate FTP issues are probably linked to the server being down.

When you are able to connect, be sure to use the email/password that matches your account on that server. Each Galaxy instance is independently hosted and accounts are distinct. You may know this already but I didn't cover it before and I want to eliminate that as a potential problem area once the server is back up.
