hi!

I wanted to make some space on my HDD, i tried to permanently delete histories i wanted to remove but... nothing moved.

I select the history, i click on "delete permanently", i click on the dialog box (yes to delete), everything become grey. It runs few seconds, and nothing more, nothing changed.

Did i missed something during the configuration?

thanks.

Olivier.

Hi, Olivier

Is the history you're trying to delete an import or copy of another history (a published history or a history shared with you)?

Can you check the value of the configuration variable 'allow_user_dataset_purge' in your galaxy.ini?

To permanently delete as a non-admin user through the interface, this needs to be set.

okay, it was set as "False".

I' ve set it as true, and reloaded galaxy. It did not changed anything.

My account is an admin account.

did you restart the galaxy instance. You need to do this whenever you what a change you make in the 'galaxy.ini' file to be applied
