I uploaded 3 files to http://galaxy.genenetwork.org.  These files are showing up in my history.  I can view them.  They seem to be properly uploaded.

However, when I go to use a tool (any tool, but right now, I am specifically interested in the reverse complement tool, the "Library to reverse-complement:" dropdown is empty.  I verified that it takes fastq files, and that my uploaded files are fastq.

Did I miss a step somewhere?  How can I run my data through this tool?

Hello,

Issues for this server are best directed at the instance owners: https://wiki.galaxyproject.org/PublicGalaxyServers#GeneNetwork

But just as a guess, most fastq data in Galaxy needs to be assigned to the "fastqsanger" datatype before use with tools. It could be that this is the problem. The method to assign the datatype (and re-scale quality scores, if needed) should be about the same across most Galaxy instances, so perhaps try this wiki help and test if it resolves the issues. See sections 2.10 & 2.11

Thanks, Jen, Galaxy team
