Question: Host a local Tool Shed in v15.05 of Galaxy

Hi!

I am currently trying to test some custom tools that I've written for galaxy. I've used the Galaxy Tool Factory to run the scripts that I've made but I want to upload them to a local Tool Shed to test out the script as a standalone tool rather than a task run through the Galaxy Tool Factory. I have followed many of the guides that are on the main website with no success. I cannot find the files that they are referring to. The new release of Galaxy seems to missing the files they are refering to in this page: https://wiki.galaxyproject.org/HostingALocalToolShed 

Any help is greatly appreciated!

It will save you a lot of setup trouble.

The documentation you are referring to is outdated and the priority to make it up to date is low. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Thanks for the quick answer! I will test my tools in the Test Toolshed then.

I updated the config file locations reference in https://wiki.galaxyproject.org/HostingALocalToolShed as well as a few other things that have changed over the last year. Though I do agree with Martin that it is best to use the test Tool Shed unless you have a compelling reason to use a local one.
