Hello,

I recently used tophat2 to align two reads to the rn4 genome. I went through trackster and added my tracks to try and visualize the results, but when the screen loads the map of the reads is only at the very very top and it can not be seen. Is there anyway to expand this section as to see the results?

Hello,

Hover over the track near the name and icons to configure display will appear, including those that will expand datasets and zoom in/out.

There have been many upgrades since this publication from 2012, but is a good place to start to learn more about Trackster. One can also just experiment with the functions. The particular visualization tool has some advanced functions, but general viz is straightforward. You will find most are somewhat similar to other browser tools, with a few extra nice add-ons, such as being able to group tracks into "composites" by simply dragging them in the UI. Plus all the Galaxy sharing options apply. The wiki link has more snippets of info. Start in "Learn" and have a look around.

Hope this works out for you, but if are still stuck, please let us know and we can get into the details more. Jen, Galaxy

Hello,

I have gone in and tried each of the different display settings as you suggest, but it still stays all squished up at the top. I will look through the publication and hopefully find some more help. Thank you so much for you advice!

Perhaps try zooming in a little? What file type is your track? Jen
