Dear all,

I am wondering if anyone can point a documentation on how to configure Galaxy with DRMAA. We are using slurm, so I have installed slurm-drmaa. Now I need to let Galaxy to know where the slurm-drmaa is and what the local slurm configuration is.

I checked https://wiki.galaxyproject.org/Admin/Config/Performance/Cluster#DRMAA, but it is not very clear how can I do this.

I also search the web and find this: http://www.usit.uio.no/om/organisasjon/uav/itf/intern-doc/galaxy/galaxy-test.html

The problem is that this usit document referred to 2013 Galaxy, I am not sure if it is suitable for the current release of Galaxy.

Thanks a lot,

Best,

Yu

Hello Yu,

If you’re looking for the technical details of this has been done on other systems, you can take a look at the ansible-galaxy-extras Ansible playbook: https://github.com/galaxyproject/ansible-galaxy-extras.

Specifically, this file is used to setup Slurm and if you follow the breadcrumbs, you can find all the accompanying Galaxy configs as well: https://github.com/galaxyproject/ansible-galaxy-extras/blob/master/tasks/slurm.yml
