Question: Apache access to static/ directory

Hello! Our lab is in the process of installing a local Galaxy production server on Ubuntu 14.04 but we have a question about granting the Apache user access to the Galaxy static/ directory.

Currently, the filesystem permissions for the directory are:

drwxrwxr-x  galaxy  galaxy  static\

Should the permissions be changed to this instead?

drwxr-xr-x  galaxy  www-data  static\
